This is a must is a must have for the Hawkwind addict, featuring legends(hence the name) Harvey Bainbridge and Simon House, and newcomer (at the time)Alan Davey, the "bass monster", who has reformed his old band Gunslinger; as well as Bridget Wisehart, an amazing vocalist in her own right.(The scene where Bainbridge wrapped her up in an ace bandage appealed to my disturbed imagination. )
The only criticism I have of the performance is that it is overwhelmed at times by the fire eaters and such, and also includes an alleged dancer in a tutu. The poor girl looked lost as she attempted a very stiff attempt at some semblance of a ballet. To quote Mr. Lennon: "She may be a lover but she ain't no dancer." Maybe she was a friend of the band.
But overall, it is worth seeing whether you just like getting mesmerized by space rock or perhaps passing the peace pipe with your chums.
