Healthcare or Warfare? March this Saturday in Madison WI 2:30pm
Reprinted from The Direct Action Coalition
Healthcare reform is finally moving at the national level but single payer has been taken off the table. Getting to national healthcare will require intense grassroots activism. This event will draw the connections between the healthcare debate and and Anti-War struggle.
The most common objection to single payer is cost. We're told that the medicare trust fund is going broke, by how much money is left in the Iraq War Trust Fund? No one ever asks how a war will be paid for but national healthcare is always too expensive.
It's time the bloated military budget were re-allocated to pay the cost of National healthcare. We were sold that war as a basis for "security", but real security means healthcare for every familywhich only single payer can provide.
Saturday July 25th at 2:30 meet at the Library Mall for our March up to the state capitol.
The Rally begins at 3:00pm on the steps of the state capitol. There will be Music by the Raging Grannies Speakers.
It's time we stand up in Solidarity and take action.
This march is brought to us by the.....
Organizing For America Grassroots Activists.
Dane County Grassroots Network .
and the Madison Area Peace Coalition.
