Ivan Croe and Death May Die
Death May Die put on one hell of a show that night(no pun intended.) The lead singer,Jared Isaacs, sported a painted face and was decked out in the usual black metal garb, complete with a cross. At one point, he kept flipping the cross up and down as if he didn't know what direction to go-but something tells me that he prefers the "up" position.
Yes, some mean spirits were in the air, but they vanished as the band went deeper into their set.
I didn't stay too long for Ivan Croe's set, but I know they kicked ass. This band was the baby of George Beltz, whose trademark image is an axe attached to a chain guitar strap.Eric Evans is absolutely amazing on the drums. The band is rounded out by a father and son(Russ and Brian Stamper on lead vox and bass respectively,(Russ would look at home in bib overalls!), but they are bloody fantastic.
They didn't have a big crowd and both groups deserve better.Keep your eye out for these bands. They are going places.
